I was a little hesitant to enter this stately, much older building.
A peek into the first floor reveals a food market.
Next to a table crowded with locals, an old lady was sewing on her sewing machine.
Is this really the place to find what I'm looking for...?

As I fearfully climbed the stairs, I found myself in a world of glamorous fabrics!
Stores are lined up in every nook and cranny, and the aisles are overflowing with products.
Among them, the most conspicuous item is " Traditional floral fabric(花布)," which has long been a favorite in Taiwan.
Large pink and red peonies and roses bloom gorgeously in the cloth.
The background colors are also vivid, and just looking at them is exciting.
If you find a fabric you are interested in, take the plunge and ask the shopkeeper for help.
Even if your Chinese is not very good, a cheerful greeting and gesture will do (probably).
