Peach

One morning when I arrived at work, I found a paper bag on my desk.
When I took it out of the bag, I found it was a magnificent peach.
"Peaches."
I mumbled to myself.
"Peaches, yes."
A junior colleague sitting across from me repeated.
Underneath the peach was a note.

"Happy birthday.
Wishing you a wonderful year.
Please keep them at room temperature and put them in the refrigerator before eating
To you like peaches."

The sender was from a female colleague.
I looked over at her, who belongs to a different section, and saw that she was already at work on her computer, her brow furrowed as she stared at the screen.
"Thank you for the gift."
"No, thank you."
She never took her eyes off the computer.
"It's kept at room temperature, isn't it?"
"Yes, it's sensitive to cold."
"By the way, what do you mean by 'you're like a peach'?"
She giggled like a mischievous child and said, "A secret."
Finally, she looked at me.
”A secret?"
"You know what? I heard that mysterious people are popular."
"What's that?"
She started tapping on the keyboard with a unique rhythm.
She would not give me any answer.
Oh dear, I gave up and went back to my seat.
Several years have passed since then, but she is still keeping her secret.
