Colette pullover has been completed!
Good evening everyone.
Today I would like to write about the details of the Colette pullover that I introduced yesterday on Instagram.
It knit up like this!
It was such a wonderful pattern that I sighed.
I knit short sleeves in the summer, but I love it so much that I even started working on long sleeves.
That's how wonderful this sweater is.
First of all, I would like to talk about the color.
Darker colors make it difficult to see this beautiful pattern.
I wanted to make the most of the cable pattern, so I chose bright colors.
Also, this color is quite easy to use, which may come as a surprise.
I wear it with brown and khaki skirts, jeans, and white pants.
I think navy would also look great!
You can wear it casually or with a beautiful look.

Next, the design.
This cable pattern looks complicated, but it is actually very easy.
Aran sweaters require time and patience, but this one is very easy to knit.
This is a top-down sweater, but it is noteworthy that there is no raglan line.
Usually, the raglan lines are increased stitchs from the neck to the sides, but this sweater is not knitted in such a way.
Instead, there is a distinctive line on the back, but I like this design better and it was easier to knit.
What I had trouble with was the neckline.
The pattern called for knitting a longer neckline, then folding it over and sewing it on, so I followed the instructions.
However, that was the only place where it was double layered, so I think it became unnaturally thick.
Most of her patterns are like this, so I am wondering what to do next time I knit.
Finally, let's talk about the yarn.
The specified yarn was DK weight, but we used the Original yarn which is finer than DK weight.
The original yarn is about the same size as Fingering.
However, if you hold it in your hand, you will see that it is actually about the thickness of Sport to DK.
This is because the yarn is airy and fluffy, and if you pull on the yarn, it will be the thickness of Fingering that you are thinking of.
When knitting with this yarn, it is usually possible to knit with less than the specified amount, and the finished sweater will be light and comfortable to wear.
In this case, I was able to knit a sweater weighing about 250g.
It is a recommended material, as it usually takes less than three skeins to knit.
The designer is Sari Nordlund.
Her designs are always exciting to look at!
I'm not a fan of clothes that insist, “This is hand-knit! ”.
I prefer patterns that blend in with everyday life, but still have a little quirkiness to them.
Her patterns are just like this, and I find myself wanting to knit one after another.
