Why I wanted to dye cotton

Good evening everyone.
The other day we started selling a new material "Cotton" for the first time in a while.
As the name suggests, it is 100% cotton yarn.
I have dyed wool/cotton blends before, but this is the first time I have dyed 100% cotton yarn.

As I mentioned in my blog the other day, we have to purchase new dyes for this yarn, and the dyeing process is a little different from wool.
I also had to find a new supplier.
The reason I still wanted to dye the yarn was because I wanted to make a yarn that could be enjoyed in spring and summer.

I once knitted a camisole with fine wool yarn.
It was comfortable to wear in early spring, but as summer approached, it became too hot.
I have seen people on Ravelry wearing short-sleeved pullovers knitted with wool, but it is difficult to do so in Japan with its high temperature and humidity.
However, there are many patterns that I would like to knit.
So, why not dye a material that can be used in spring and summer?
This is the reason why I started to use cotton.

Wool yarns are the mainstream when it comes to knitting, but please try cotton, which can also be used in the coming season.
There are many wonderful patterns to choose from.
In my next blog, I would like to write about my experience of knitting one garment.
